What is Muse Hub? Muse Hub is an app for discovering inspirational music and audio tools, like apps, plug-ins, and sounds, from the world’s best indie developers.
How does it work? Once you’ve downloaded Muse Hub, you can browse the ever-expanding catalog of tools and content, and download the things you want directly to your computer. Muse Hub will take care of the installation, updating, and license management.
Accounts and Purchases
Do I need an account? You don’t need an account to download free things, like MuseScore Studio and Audacity. However, to purchase or activate free trials, you’ll need to create a free account. Your account is also where you can view and download invoices for any purchases, add billing details to streamline future purchases, manage your device authorizations, and update your content.
How do I buy things? To buy or try things out, you’ll need an account, which you can create within the app itself. Once you’re signed in, you can buy or try things with just a click. Apps and plug-ins are managed by the Hub itself, so you won’t need to worry about serial numbers or activation processes.
Content and Features
What are Muse Sounds? Muse Sounds are playback sounds for the free notation app MuseScore Studio. They only work with MuseScore Studio and are created in partnership with some of the world’s leading sound developers. By creating special editions of flagship libraries, we aim to make it easy and accessible to use these amazing sample libraries with notation. They’re lightweight, don’t require supercomputers to run, and are much more affordable and easy to use: just load and go!
What are Elements? Elements are our collective name for loops, sound effects, production music, and one-shot samples. You can browse a huge collection of Elements, and search for the sound you’re looking for. These sounds are created by professional sound designers and producers, and you can buy these as packs, or - for the first time - as individual files, from just $0.29 cents. To buy individual Elements, you need to use the Muse Wallet, which is a pre-paid balance that you can apply towards individual element purchases, and tips. Elements, due to their nature of buying a royalty-free license, are non-refundable. For more information, refer to the Muse Hub Terms of Service.
What’s a Tip? Muse Hub is a platform that brings content from indie developers to you. If you appreciate the content that’s been made, you can show your appreciation and support them and their work further by sending them a tip. Tips go straight to the developer. Because you can tip small amounts (e.g., $1), they are taken from your Muse Wallet. Tips are non-refundable. For more information on tips, refer to the Muse Hub Terms of Service.
Payment and Refunds
What’s the Muse Wallet? You can use the Muse Wallet to make small purchases on the platform, such as buying individual Elements and sending tips. As well as using the wallet for individual Element purchases and tips, you will soon be able to use your Muse Wallet balance towards the purchase of anything on the platform. It’s important to note that the Muse Wallet is simply a balance and is not a credit card or any kind of financial account. Top-ups made to the wallet are non-refundable. For more information on Muse Wallet, refer to the Muse Hub Terms of Service.
How do I get a refund for purchases I’ve made on Muse Hub? Yes, you can refund apps, Muse Sounds, and plug-ins, for any reason within 14 days. Click “Report a problem” in the Hub, then choose “Request a Refund.” We’ll process this refund as soon as we can. For more information, please see the Terms of Service. Please note that Muse Wallet top-ups, Elements, and Tips are non-refundable.
Support and Feedback
How do reviews work? You can leave reviews for anything that you’ve downloaded or purchased or just rate it with a thumbs up or thumbs down to let the developers and others know what you think. Muse Hub will generate you a unique nickname, which you can change at any point from your account portal. You can go back to your previous reviews to delete them later.
How do I get support? If you need support for a product you’ve bought from Muse Hub, you can click the “Contact Support” button on the product’s dedicated page within the Hub. If you need support or assistance with anything related to billing, using the Hub, or issues with downloading or authorizing purchases, then please get in touch with us directly at support.musehub.com.
