Installing MuseSounds Pro

Before You Begin

You will need to have:

• An active MuseSounds Pro subscription
• The latest version of MuseHub
• The latest version of MuseScore Studio
• A stable internet connection


Step 1. Install MuseHub

  1. Download the latest version of the MuseHub desktop application

  2. Install the app on your computer

Note: MuseSounds Pro libraries must be installed through the MuseHub desktop app. Installation is not supported in a web browser.


Step 2. Download MuseSounds Pro Libraries

  1. Launch the MuseHub desktop application (not within a browser)

  2. Log in with your Muse account

  3. Click the Library tab

  4. Select MuseSounds Pro

  5. Choose Download to download all included libraries (large file size), or install individual libraries as needed (uses less space)

Once downloaded, the libraries will be available inside MuseScore Studio. If MuseScore Studio was open during installation, relaunch MuseScore Studio for your MuseSounds Pro libraries to appear.


Using MuseSounds Pro in MuseScore Studio

Step 1. Update MuseScore Studio

  1. Open the MuseHub desktop application

  2. Go to the Apps tab

  3. Make sure you have the latest version of MuseScore Studio installed

Step 2. Assign MuseSounds to Your Score

  1. Open MuseScore Studio

  2. Create a new score or open an existing one

  3. Open the Mixer (press F10)

  4. In the mixer, locate the staff channel you want to change

  5. Click the Sound dropdown at the top of the channel strip

  6. Select a sound from the MuseSounds section

All installed libraries will appear in this menu, grouped by developer.

Need Help?

If your libraries do not appear:

• Confirm you are logged into the same account that you purchased it with in MuseHub
• Restart MuseScore Studio after installation
• Verify that the libraries show as Installed in MuseHub
