Changing Installation Folder - disk space

Hello,

I'm very excited about the VST from Cinesamples, Spitfire etc. I'm sure there will be additions in the future so comes the disk space requirements. 

It seems that if I go into settings and customize the location of the Installation folder, MuseScore doesn't seem to find the VSTs in a new location. 

I'm using Windows 10. so far I've freed space on my root disk but I'm sure it will become more difficult or impossible to download new elements. Tickets about these issues seem to be very old and I wonder if MuseHub has updated this possibilty.
