Applications:
Applications are installed to your /Applications folder, as is standard. If Muse Hub is able to automatically install apps for you, the experience should be seamless - the app will download, install and open/launch automatically.
Plug-Ins:
Plug-ins, in VST3 and Audio Unit format are installed to their standard directories:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins
Elements
~/Library/Application Support/Muse Hub/Elements
Muse Sounds
~/Library/Application Support/Muse Hub/Instruments
Windows
Applications
As usual, these are installed to C:\Program Files. Application installers may also install content files elsewhere; this is determined by the specific application installer.

If the Hub is unable to automatically manage the application installation for you, it will launch the application's installer UI for you. on macOS, this may be a regular macOS installation package, or a DMG from which you can drag and drop the downloaded Application into your Applications folder. On Windows, this will be the installer provided by the developer.
